Jail Warder Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for this Jail Police Constable will be determined on the basis of nationality, educational qualification and age limit. Only those candidates will be selected for the Central Jail Police Recruitment process whose fulfil the eligibility criteria given below:

Jail Warder Qualification

If you have passed your 12^th from any recognized board/institute then you will definitely eligible this post.

Jail Warder Age Limit

For General candidates, the minimum age limit is 18 years and the maximum age limit is 27 years. If you come from reserved categories then you can get the benefits of age relaxation. OBC/SC/ST will get relaxation in age, 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC, ST.

Jail Warder Selection Procedure

Selection procedure means after filling online form, how many stages will be go through till final joining. Basically the selection procedure of Jail Warder is based on only three major stages – CBT, Physical Test and Medical Test.

✅CBT (Computer Based Test): In which one exam will be conducted of 200 marks.

✅Physical Test: in this section will be see height, weight, chest, running and long jump of the candidates.

It will be a Computer Based Exam and consist of an objective test (multiple choice questions) carrying a total of 200 marks. The duration of this exam will 2 hours, and the exam will consist of 5 different sections such as General Awareness, Reasoning Ability, Numerical Ability, General English Language and General Hindi Language.

You will have to solve these 200 questions in 2 hours and 0.25 negative marking is also here. The exam will be Bilingual (Hindi & English).

After exam, an initial qualifying cut off will be made category wise, which will decide you that are you going to present in physical test or not.

Stage 2 for Jail Warder

After qualifying stage 1, you will be called for Physical Standard Test/Physical Test. The physical test will be different for male and female.

🚹Physical Test for Male Candidates

If you belong to GEN/OBC/SC then your minimum height should be 170 cm, chest (81 – 85 cm) and expandable by 5 cms.

🚺Physical Test for Female Candidates

If you belong to GEN/OBC/SC then your minimum height should be 157 cm.

📝Note: If candidates (male & female) belong to ST/Reserved Category (Gorkhas, Garhwali, Dogras), then they will easily get 5 cm relaxation in height.

After Physical Standard Test, Physical Efficiency Test (PET) will be conducted, in this test running, long jump, high jump will be measured of candidates.

🚹Physical Efficiency Test for Male

If you belong to GEN/OBC/SC then you will have to complete 16oo meters running in just 6 minutes, qualify 13 feet long jump in 3 attempt and 3 feet 9 inch high jump in 3 attempt.

🚺Physical Efficiency Test for Female

If you belong to GEN/OBC/SC then you will have to complete 8oo meters running in just 4 minutes, qualify 9 feet long jump in 3 attempt and 3 feet high jump in 3 attempt.

📝Note: All physical tests will be only qualify in nature, you will have to just qualify these tests and go for further stage and one thing you will have to remember that the document verification will be also occurred in this stage.

After qualifying physical test/stage 2 then you will be called for stage 3 and that will be basic medical test.

Stage 3 for Jail Warder

To qualify stage 3/Medical Test, you will have to fulfill these given basic requirement below:

✅Candidates must have 6/6 vision in both eyes, should not wear glasses and should be free from colour blindness.

✅They should not have any deformity in their legs, straight knees, flat feet, no varicose veins and no squinting.

✅They should have good colour perception. They must be mentally and physically fit, and should not have any physical defects in their body.

Jail Warder Final Selection

The final selection will be based on final merit, which will be out of 200 marks (Based on stage-1 Examination), it will made category wise, if you qualify this cut off then you will be finally select on Jail Warder post.

One thing you have to notice here that the final cut off will be different for jail warder and jail matron.

Jail Warder Salary

As we know salary plays very important role in any government job. On the basis of salary structure many aspirants fill up the form, because salary fulfilled the aspirant requirements.
